TRAVELS: FRANCE (ANNECY)
20:06:00
From Chamonix, it took us about 2 hours and a half to reach Annecy.
Annecy is a town in the Haute-Savoie Region, France. Often referred to as 'little Venice', famous for its Old Town and of course the Lake Annecy. Upon reaching Annecy, we checked in and had a stroll around the Old Town and the Lake. Lake Annecy has been claimed to be the "cleanest lake in Europe" and indeed, the water was crystal clear! The lake stood out among the mountainous background; now that, is a beautiful sight. Apart from the weather not being too cheerful that day and giving us cold winter breeze, the walk we had along the lake waterfront was worth taken.
And this, is the Old Town...
The Palais de L'Isle - the building that attracts most photo shootings in Annecy.
The Haute-Savoie region is also famous for their cheese. While we were in Annecy, we met with an old friend of mine who have lived there for quite sometime. He took us to dinner and we had the the best cheese cuisine I have ever tasted; cheese fondue, cheese raclette and all things cheese!
Salmon crepe baby!

The cheese fondue.
The next day, we also tried some French crepe, also claimed to be another famous snack in the region.
...and of course, with a taste of coffee, how the French likes it. :)
