LEAVES

08:08:00

Leaves,
It's that time of the year again,
Bringing your colours of yellow, red and orange,
Into all corners of parks and lanes,
That can be seen through the windowpane.
Bringing us joy and happiness,
While drinking coffee and tea,
With added cinnamon and crunch,
And a little touch of pumpkin and spice.

Oh autumn leaves,
It's doesn't seem too long ago,
Since you put on a show,
But now it's almost time for you to go,
And when the wind blows,
Bringing chill air through my window,
With possibilities of soon to snow.

There goes that glow,
Now we see trees going bare,
Almost everywhere,
Within crispy thin air.

But they will not stop to grow,
Just a different airflow.
They will come back before we know it,
After winter, and then spring, and summer hit,
Comes a show presenting red, yellow and orange leaves,
Once again,
They recommit.
