Yayy! Maryam turns two!

Alhamdulillah..

Dear Baby Maryam, you've been nothing but joy and pride in our lives. You've grown into a very beautiful and smart girl learning your colours, shapes and enjoying the alphabets and numbers songs - although you often count them as 1,2...9, 10! You are compassionate, always asking people if they are OK from just a simple sneeze, and always caring for others by wiping their mouths and bringing them things they'd need. You are so funny and witty and never fail to make us laugh and puts smiles on our faces - from early in the morning with your cheeky smile, throughout the day until night time when you read 'aa' (doa). You'd salam both mama and daddy and asks us to say 'goodnight sunshine' as daddy always says it, and then put out your cheek with the most beautiful smile for us to kiss you goodnight. 

I still remember vividly the moment I gave birth to you in Sheffield and how I couldn't sleep that night because I was in disbelief and I just kept staring at you sleep. In the glimpse of an eye, you are already 2 years old! Oh, how times fly! I'm not going to write a 2-year long moments we had with you or what we love about you, otherwise we'd be here forever. Instead, I'm going to keep a memory here of your small birthday celebration we threw during the Covid-19 pandemic, when people are not allowed to gather, thus, we can't have people over to celebrate you - but we had fun anyway!

We had a mini celebration for your birthday, of ice cream and donuts themed, which you apparently can't get enough of these days :) It was the first time we ever celebrated your birthday and I really can't be happier planning it. I had planned it for months and bought stuff for your party little by little coming to the actual day when I can start decorating and plan the day for you. Seeing your face amazed by so many balloon decorations, seeing you so happy opening up your presents was priceless! I only wished we could celebrate you ever so often :)
